Create a Silver Shiny Logo Animation in Adobe After Effects

If you are looking to create a simple and nice silver logo animation so here’s a step-by-step guide. In this tutorial, you will learn to create a Silver Shiny logo animation in Adobe After Effects without using any plugins or Expressions. After watching this tutorial, you will easily create your own Silver Animation.

Let’s get started!

Step 1: First of all open Adobe After Effects and create a new composition. Rename it silver logo animation and set the resolution to 1920×1080 Pixels, frame rate to 30 frames per second, and Set the duration to 10 seconds.

Step 2: Select the Type tool from the Toolbar and Add your text. Select the Text layer, right-click on it and choose Pre-Compose. Rename it to the logo “Fill”. Go to Effects & Presets and search the Effect Fill, then drag and drop to the Logo Fill layer then change the color to Black.

Step 3: Double-click the Logo Fill Layer, right-click on the Text layer and choose pre-compose. This time rename it to Logo Here. Go back to our Main composition. Drag the Logo Here composition, just above the Logo Fill layer then Hide the Logo Fill Layer

Step 4: Let’s create a new composition, and rename it Reflection. Let’s import the reflection map image. Drag and drop the image to the composition. Press S to open scale properties and decrease the Scale.

Step 5: Go to the Effects & Presets and search the Effect “Motion Tile”. Drag and drop to the screen. Change the output width & Height value to 700, Select the Mirror Edges and select the Effect “Transform”. Drag and drop to the image. Now, add a keyframe on Tile Center, Drag the little icon to change its position. Go to the last frame on the timeline, and change its position. Press U to open Keyframes, select both keyframes, and press F9 on the keyboard.

Step 6: Go back to our Main Composition. Drag the reflection composition just between these two layers. Go to track matte and Select Alpha Matte “Logo Here”. Go to Effects & Presets, and search the Effect CC Glass. Drag and drop it to the Reflection layer.

Settings of CC Glass: Change the Bump map to Logo Fill. Change the softness to 45. Change the height to -40. Change the displacement to -450.

Step 7: Go to Effects and Presets and search the Effect “CC Blobbylize”. Drag and drop it to the reflection layer.

Under the blobbiness: Change the Blob Layer to Logo Fill. Change the property to Alpha. Softness to 7 and cutaway to 3.

Step 8: Let’s create a null object. Rename it to reflection scale, and right-click on it. Go to Effects > Then Expression controls. > Select Slider control. Change the value to 100.

Step 9: Lock the Effect controls. Go to the reflection composition select the image and press E to open Effects. Go to transform and Hold the Alt key on the keyboard and click the Stopwatch icon to add an expression. Drag the pick whip to the Slider and change the value to see the changes.

Step 10: Create an Adjustment Layer, and rename it to Curves. Go to Effects & Presets, and search the effect Curves. Drag and drop to the adjustment layer and slightly change the R G B curves to make it more shiny and bright.

Step 11: Create another Adjustment layer. Rename it to Sharpen Go to Effects & Presets, and search the effect Sharpen. Drag and drop to the sharpened layer. Change the sharpen amount to 20.

We can control the reflection image scale with the slider.

Step 12: Select all layers, right-click, then Choose Pre-Compose. Rename it to the Logo Build. Double-click the Logo build layer and select the reflection scale. Lock the Effect Controls and go to reflection composition then Go to transform, then Scale, and drag the Pick whip to the slider control.

Step 13: Add the last effect. Right-click on Logo Build layer, go to Effect, then Transition, and choose Linear Wipe. Change the Wipe angle to negative 90 degrees. Change the Transition completion value to 100% then add a keyframe. Go to about 4 seconds on a timeline then change the transition completion value to 0% and change the feather amount to 50. Select the Logo Build layer and enable the 3D option.

Step 14: Go to the Layer Menu > New > Select Camera. Press P on the keyboard to open Position properties then add a keyframe. Change the Z position value to negative 1400. Go about 5 seconds forward on the timeline and change the value to -2000.

We are done! Our Silver Shiny Logo Animation in After Effects is Ready.
