Create Professional Text Animation in Adobe After Effects

Do you want to make your text look professional and cinematic? Then this tutorial is made for you. In this tutorial, you will learn to create a professional text animation in Adobe After Effects. We are going to make text animation as seen in the Holywood movies. I made this tutorial easy for beginners. After watching this tutorial you will be able to create a professional text animation in Adobe After Effects.

Let’s get started!

Step 1: First of all Open Adobe After Effects. Go to Composition and create a new composition. rename it to Professional Text. Set the resolution of 1920×1080 Pixels. Set the frame rate to 30 frames per second. And set the duration to 20 seconds.

Step 2: Select the Type tool from the toolbar, then add your text. Go to the Characters panel and click All Caps then Align text to the center.

Step 3: Select your text layer, go to animation and then go to Animate text. Now,  go under the opacity and decrease the opacity to 0%.

Step 4: Go to the range Selection 1 then Advanced and change shape to Ramp up. Add a keyframe to Offset value with -100%. After 5 seconds, set the offset value to 100%.

Step 5: Select your text layer, Go to Animation and then Animate Text. Select tracking. Add a keyframe on the Tracking amount to 0. Add another keyframe at the last frame with a tracking amount of 5 to 10. It will increase the letter spacing during animation.

Step 6: Go under the text properties then Select Animator 1, add a property then select blur, and increase the blur amount to 10. You can increase or decrease the blur amount if you want.

Step 7: Go to the Text Properties and select Animator 1. Press Control D to make a duplicate. Drag the duplicated effect below animator 1 and animator 2. Go to Range Selector, Select both keyframes and drag to 10 seconds. Now, go to Advanced then change Shape type to Ramp down.

Step 8: Select the text layer and press U Key on the keyboard to open all keyframes. Now, drag the tracking amount keyframe to 15 seconds. It will increase the text spacing duration till the end.

We are done! Finally, our professional Text animation is ready.
