Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Heart Particles Animation:

Step 1: Setting Up the Composition

  1. Open Adobe After Effects.
  2. Go to Composition and create a new composition.
  3. Rename it to “Hearts” (or your preferred name).
  4. Set the resolution to 1920×1080 Pixels, frame rate to 30 frames per second, and duration to 10 seconds.

Step 2: Importing Files

  1. Go to the File Menu.
  2. Import the hearts icon file (downloaded for free).
  3. Drag and drop the hearts icon onto the Layers section.
  4. Create a new Solid Layer and rename it to “Hearts Particles” (or your preferred name).

Step 3: Applying CC Particle World Effect

  1. Go to Effects & Presets.
  2. Search for the “CC Particle World” effect.
  3. Drag and drop the effect onto the “Hearts Particles” solid layer.
  4. Hide the heart image layer to focus on the particle animation.

Step 4: Adjusting Particle Settings

  1. Open the CC Particle World settings.
  2. Under the Particle section, change the Particle Type to “Texture Square.”
  3. Set the Texture Layer to “hearts.png” to use the hearts icon texture.
  4. Increase Max Opacity to 100%.
  5. Change the Birth Color and Death Color to white to retain the original heart color.

Step 5: Fine-Tuning Particle Behavior

  1. Change the Birth Rate to 3 for a moderate particle emission rate.
  2. Under the Producer section, adjust the Radius X, Radius Y, and Radius Z values to 0.700, 0.700, and 3, respectively.
  3. Go to the Physics section.
  4. Set Gravity to 0 to make the heart’s particles float.
  5. Reduce Speed by changing Velocity to 0.2 for slower particle movement.
  6. Increase Size Variation to 75% for diverse particle sizes.
  7. Adjust Longevity to 5 to control how long particles remain visible.
