Ink Splash Slideshow Animation in Adobe After Effects

If you are looking to create an amazing Ink splash slideshow animation, then this is the best tutorial for you. In this tutorial, you will learn to create an amazing ink splash slideshow animation in Adobe After Effects without using any third-party plugins or expressions. This is 100% editable. You can easily change your images or you can add your video if you want. For better results, I recommend you to watch the video till the end.

Let’s Get Started!

Step 1: Open Adobe After Effects, then create a new composition. Rename it to Ink Splash Slideshow or whatever name give it. Set the resolutions to 1920×1080 Pixels, the frame rate to 30 frames per second, and set the duration to 15 seconds.

Step 2: Go to the file menu > Then import the required files.

Required files:
1. Ink Splash footage (I have download the Ink Splash footage from www.videezy.com)
2. 5 to Images or Videos
3. Paper Texture Background Image

Step 3: Select all files, and click import. Go to composition menu > Create a new composition. Rename it to Ink Splash or whatever name you like. Set the duration to 5 seconds.

Step 4: Drag the ink splash footage to the composition.

Step 5: Footage Settings: Select the footage layer, then right-click and go to Time, then Select time stretch. Change the time factor value from 100 to 50, Our new duration would be 5 seconds. Select the footage layer again and press S to open scale properties. Then change the scale to 185%.

Step 6: Go to composition, then create a new composition. Rename it to Image 1. If you are using 5 images then you should create a separate composition for each image. Such as Image1, Image2, Image3, and so on.

Step 7: Select image 1, and drag it to the composition. Do the same for image number 2, and 3. Then adjust the image Scale if required.

Step 8: Go to the main composition, which is Ink Splash Slideshow. Drag the paper texture background to the composition. Adjust the scale and then lock the layer.

Step 9: Drag the image 1 composition, just above the background layer. Then drag the Ink Splash composition, just above the image layer. Go to track matte. If you don’t see the track matte option. Click the toggle switches button. Go to track matte, and choose Luma inverted Matte “Ink Splash”.

Step 10: Repeat the same process for the remaining images.
