Rotating Fan Animation in Adobe After Effects

Easily create a rotating fan animation in After Effects without using any plugin. In this tutorial, you will learn to create a simple rotating fan animation in Adobe After Effects without using any plugins. This is a short and easy tutorial, so I recommend you watch this video till the end.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Rotating Fan Animation:

Step 1: Create a new composition and rename it to Rotating Fan Animation. Set the resolution to 1920×1080 pixels and the frame rate to 30 frames per second. Set the duration to 10 seconds.

Step 2: Create a background layer. So, go to the Layer Menu > New > Select the Solid. Rename it to the background. Go to effects & presets and Search the effect gradient ramp then Drag and drop to the background layer. Select the start color to sky blue then lock the background layer.

Step 3: Go to the File menu then import the required images. Then Drag both images to the composition and adjust the scale. Right-click on the rotating fan image, Go to transform, and choose flip horizontal. Then drag it to the left side and also drag the stick.

Step 4: Select both layers and make it duplicate, by pressing the control + D key on the keyboard then drag it away from the first fan. Select the top rotating fan and press R to open rotation properties. Then Hold the Alt key on the keyboard and click this little stopwatch icon to add an expression. Then type time*150, then repeat the same process.

Step 5: Select the last fan layer. Go to effects and presets and search for the effect of wiggle rotation. Drag and drop to the layer then change the wiggle amount degree to 1 and Change the skew axis to 1.

Step 6: Select the fan layers, then activate the motion blur option.

Step 7: Go to the File Menu > Import > Import the remaining fan images. Uncheck the PNG Sequence. Select the top rotating fan layer and Hold the Alt key on the keyboard. Then Drag the rotating fan image 1 on the fan image 3 layer. It will replace the image.
