Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Glitter Text Animation:
Step 1: Set Up Composition
- Open Adobe After Effects.
- Create a new composition named “Glitter Text” with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, a frame rate of 30 frames per second, and a duration of 10 seconds.
Step 2: Add Solid Layer
- Go to the Layer menu > New > Solid.
- Choose a black color for the solid layer.
Step 3: Apply Noise HLS Effect (1st Solid Layer)
- Go to the Effects & Presets panel.
- Search for the “Noise HLS” effect and drag it onto the first solid layer.
- Modify the Noise HLS settings:
- Change Noise Type to “Grain.”
- Set Lightness to 175%.
- At the first frame on the timeline, click the Noise Phase stopwatch to add a keyframe.
- Go to the last frame on the timeline and change the Noise Phase value to 12 (12x+0.0 degrees).
Step 4: Apply Noise HLS Effect (2nd Solid Layer)
- Create a new Solid layer (black color).
- Apply the “Noise HLS” effect to the second solid layer.
- Modify the Noise HLS settings:
- Change Noise Type to “Grain.”
- Set Lightness to 250%.
- Change Grain Size to 2.0.
- At the first frame on the timeline, click the Noise Phase stopwatch to add a keyframe.
- Go to the last frame on the timeline and change the Noise Phase value to -12 (-12x+0.0 degrees).
Step 5: Change Layer Blend Mode
- Select the top solid layer.
- Change the Layer Blend Mode from “Normal” to “Soft Light.”
Step 6: Add Glitter Particle Effects
- Create a new Solid layer.
- Apply the “CC Particle Systems II” effect to the new solid layer.
- Modify the CC Particle Systems II settings:
- Change Birth Rate to 8.
- Set Longevity to 0.5.
- Under Producer, change Radius X and Radius Y to 120.
- Under Physics, set Velocity and Gravity to 0.
- Under Particles, change Particle Type to “Star.”
- Set Birth Size to 0.09 and Death Size to 0.35.
- Change Birth and Death Colors to White.
Step 7: Add Glow Effect
- Apply the “Glow” effect to the same solid layer.
- Modify the Glow settings:
- Change Glow Threshold to 35%.
- Set Glow Radius to 50%.
Step 8: Pre-compose Layers
- Select all layers.
- Right-click and choose “Pre-compose.”
- Rename the pre-composed layer to “Glitter_text.”
Step 9: Add Text or Logo
- Create a new composition named “Text or Logo.”
- Drag and drop the “Glitter_text” layer just above the “Text or Logo” composition.
- Double-click the “Text or Logo” composition and type your desired text.
Step 10: Apply Track Matte
- Go back to the main composition.
- Change the Track Matte of the “Text or Logo” composition layer to “Alpha Matte.”
Step 11: Apply Colorization (Hue/Saturation Effect)
- Go to the Effects & Presets panel.
- Search for the “Hue/Saturation” effect and drag it onto the “Glitter_text” composition layer.
- Check the “Colorize” option.
- Adjust the “Colorize Hue” slider to change the colors of the glitter text.
Step 12: Finalize the Glitter Text Effect
