Step 2: Creating the Background
- Right-click on a space, choose “New,” and select “Solid.” Rename the solid layer to “Background.”
- In the Effects and Presets panel, apply the Gradient Ramp effect to the background. Adjust start and end colors to your preference.
Step 3: Adding the Spiral Element
- Right-click again, choose “New,” and select “Solid.” Name it “Spiral” and change the color to white.
- Apply the Venetian Blinds effect. Set transition completion to 50%, and width to 148.
- Apply the Polar Coordinates effect. Change the type to Rect to Polar and set interpolation to 100%.
Step 4: Scaling and Rotating the Spiral
- Select the Spiral layer and press ‘S’ to open the scale properties. Change the scale from 100% to 250%.
- Keep the Spiral layer selected, and press ‘R’ to open rotation properties. Hold ‘Alt’ and click the stopwatch icon, and add the expression “time * 15.”
Step 5: Adjustments and Preview
- Preview the animation. Adjust opacity or decrease the spiral width by changing the transition completion value.
- Optionally, reduce opacity or customize spiral width to your liking.
Step 6: Adding Twirl Effect
- Duplicate the composition by selecting it in the projects section and pressing ‘Ctrl + D.’
- Double-click on the duplicated composition, and disable the Gradient Ramp effect on the background layer.
- Apply the Twirl effect to the Spiral layer in the Effects and Presets panel.
- Set the angle to -90 degrees and the twirl radius to 26.
